ADAKAH KHAZANAH NASIONAL TIDAK TAHU KISAH INI SEBELUM LANTIK CEO AER LINGUS SEBAGAI KETUA PEGAWAI EKSEKUTIF MAS YANG BAHARU?????

A 24-hour strike by Aer Lingus cabin crew disrupted around 200 flights at Ireland’s three main airports on Friday, ahead of the country’s bank holiday weekend.

Workers staged pickets at Dublin, Cork, and Shannon airport, in protest against working hours that are leaving staff exhausted, public sector trade union Impact has argued.

Some cabin crew said that rota arrangements were damaging their family lives and that the action was a last resort.

Hundreds of those who marched on the airline’s headquarters at Dublin airport delivered a letter of protest to the chief executive Christoph Mueller who was booed by the rally.

“For three years we have raised concerns about the erratic nature of our rosters,” the letter states.

“We have become accustomed to the chaotic work patterns that are a direct product of those rosters, to the point where we understand the detrimental effect they are having on cabin crew, and the corrosive effect that they are having on the airline too.”...

But as the strike has grounded most of the carrier’s fleet and affected the travel plans of 30,000 people, Aer Lingus denounced the strike and accused cabin crew of driving customers into the arms of its competitors.

As the strike action notice was publicised two weeks ago, many customers did not book with Aer Lingus and of the 28,000 who had tickets, around half of them cancelled and half were booked on to earlier or later flights.

A spokesman for the firm said on Friday: “Aer Lingus cabin crew enjoy some of the most favourable working conditions in Ireland.”

Aer Lingus has brought in outside crew and planes in an attempt to minimise the disruption. The firm's pilots have backed the cabin crew and informed the airline they would not co-operate with alternative plans to carry passengers.

    2000 / 2001 - SABENA
    SABENA - 22 November 2001

"From 2000 onwards, Sabena similarly slipped deeper and deeper into crisis, initially as a result of sharply increased oil prices.

Christoph Müller became the new chairman of the executive board, charged with the task of pushing through management’s long overdue cuts...

Following this, he presented a radical restructuring plan that prescribed the wiping out of 400 to 500 jobs and the sale of 90 percent of Sabena’s subsidiary firms...

On November 7, Sabena, the Belgian airline, ended its 78-year history and filed for bankruptcy.

The collapse of Sabena, which employs 12,000 workers, is the biggest commercial failure in Belgian history and another link in the chain of airline bankruptcies, following this year’s termination of Canada 3000 (the second largest Canadian airline) and Australia’s Ansett, and the dissolution of Swissair into its own subsidiary...

On November 8, demonstrators blocked entrances to the customs clearance zones, bringing everything to a standstill, and on Friday, November 9, they took over the motorway. Anger was directed against both the government and Sabena management.

According to press reports, Christoph Müller, the German chairman of the airline’s executive board, received death threats and has since been living under close guard at the Sabena Hotel in Brussels. Since November 5, the number of police at Zaventem Airport has been increased to 150..."

"The government, which controls 25.1pc of Aer Lingus, voted against the resolution to approve the pay report due to the increased pension contribution - totalling €175,000 - that was paid to Mr Mueller last year...

The government said it was "inappropriate" that Mr Mueller should receive a big pensions increase when thousands of current and former workers at Aer Lingus are facing cuts to their pensions because of a near €800m deficit at the defined benefit Irish Airlines Superannuation Scheme (IASS)...

However, the rebuke from the government is highly embarrassing for Aer Lingus and Mr Mueller, who's also the chairman of An Post...

Outside the Radisson Blu hotel at Dublin Airport, up to 40 former Aer Lingus staff protested at the cuts they're facings to their pensions.

One protester, Elaine Solan, told the Irish Independent that she believed Mr Mueller should hand back the increased pension contribution he received in 2013...

Ms Solan said she had worked with Aer Lingus for 35 years before leaving in 2009.
"We now find ourselves in the awful position of having to come out and parade around to fight for what we were promised..."

Mr Mueller better think again because he's picking on the wrong gang. We're determined."

This is the reason he left Aer Lingus (even with the €1.5m pay packet)...!!!

Khazanah's Bosses must be DUMB to not check his background
